As Kate said yesterday, “When you communicate it is best to use all the methods.” Some of us like to just look folks inthe eye and say what there is to be said. Some prefer written and some prefer one of the many versions of virtual communication and some (Mary, are you out there?) like all the methods! Well, we’ve finally, actually, added a new one for you on Twitter. What I like about Twitter is that little bird noise Dave’s phone makes when it tweets, but it has some other benefits as well. You can find us at http://twitter.com/CrossFitters. If you look there at the end of the day you’ll find the top male and female effort for our workout as well as the…workout.
I’ve been asked many times why we don’t post our workouts on our website like many CrossFit Affiliates. Our feeling is that our workouts are put together quite thoughtfully with intention to see our own clients progress. We program FOR YOU. We take responsibility for your volume and the types of movements you perform each week. We are not here to provide a random workout for a random person we do not train. However, it is fun to look back and see what you’ve done, brag to your Mama and assess what you’ve been doing. There are some of you out there for whom it would be a reasonable goal to tell yourself you will see (or is it hear?) your name tweeted on a regular basis. If you are one of those people, could you have bought a few seconds along the way in your workout and ended up in first instead of second or third?
Jen B. won a t-shirt yesterday with her red ticket. Jen is clever like that. I wonder if she might win the Women’s Get-Some Challenge too? She should watch for registration to open at 12:01am on January 18th.

Oh I’m here! I saw that Dave’s a-tweetin’.
Ha, don’t worry Jen I’ll be watching for it. Besides, Kate told me I had to win if I needed to skip that one week for snowboarding.
Ok now I must say this is the first time in quite a while that standing up and sitting down takes so much thought and care.
Gotta love those front squats and wall balls- yikes!
Oh! Are y’all still doing free community workouts? I had heard something about it being once a month now. Or I imagined it. I don’t remember!
Mary,
We are doing Free Community Workouts! Check out our Upcoming Events page for details on the next one – Saturday, January 30th from 2:00pm – 3:00pm!
Nikki, I know how you feel…. I have been thinking…”Do I really have to go that bad?????” Awesome workout.
Ok — I tweeted that to someone.
And speaking of online communications…what about the ol’ Facebook page? If you need a dedicated FB-er, I’ll be back in 2 1/2 months-ish.
Great work, everyone. I miss you all so much that I rarely come and read the blog (sniff). It really makes me sad. BUT, I am loving my life here in Taos. There will be a CrossFit here someday soon. Oh, and I signed up to have the WOD’s Tweeted to my phone. Maybe that will help.
Rachel, when will you be back! I miss your VFF’s, awesome kipping pull ups and your crazy talented kids!
