This is what the rest of the world of fitness is reminding you about these days. Even many CrossFit Affiliates are urging their clients to get their nutrition dialed in because swim suit season is right around the corner. I am urging you to get your nutrition dialed in so you can live longer and healthier. Not much pizazz I know, but the great thing is that you’ll also look better in your swim suit. Except we live in the desert where there aren’t any beaches. Never mind the details. If you have not had a chance to hear the basics of the Paleo Diet this Tuesday night, March 16 at 7pm is your chance. This lecture is free and open to the public. Even though I love to talk about food I do limit myself to one hour, so you can head for your bed at 8:00pm.
In that colander in the picture there are enough species of greens to nearly put me, in one dinner, ahead of the average American’s yearly plant species intake. Did you know that was an important piece of pre-agricultural diets? They actually ate MORE kinds of vegetables than the farmers. You can look at my blog to find out what I did with these little leaves: www.huntitgatheritworkit.blogspot.com

I am so glad for this post. I am getting tired of hearing my friends, who I think are pretty smart, value looks over ability. But seriously, can’t we have both…?
Well, Ellie. I like to think I have plentiful supplies of both, but then again my parents raised me to have an overabundance of self esteem. As in “Just because those girls in your class are models in a catalogue doesn’t mean they are more attractive than you are for God’s sake. They aren’t nearly as beautiful as you are. And they can’t even contemplate honors calculus. When you can do trig why would you want to wear a bikini?” I have thought that perhaps they lacked a certain hold on reality, especially from the perspective of a teenage girl, but I’m gonna follow in their footsteps. Ability is better than looks, but of course you can have both. You do have both.
Hi Jen, Its Theresa Fine checkin in! Im wondering if this nutrition lecture is open to the public and in the event that I cannot find childcare, is it possible to bring my son (5yrs)? Ive been steadily shifting my food choices to a Paleo diet and would love to have more, if not the same just repeated, information to help build my understanding. If it doesnt work for me to come, I hope to stop in sometime and see you!! Thanks, Theresa
Swim suit season is important to me. This time around I won’t have to wear a two piece. Booyah!
