I started out the day at the track! Sunday is a great day for a track workout because, well, most importantly CrossFit Works is closed, and because there aren’t teams or anything practising in the morning. I did a series of track workouts last spring that really got my running times much better and really nailed down in my head what I should expect from myself. I met Nikki there and we did 4x800m with full recovery between. I did my 3rd 800m barefoot. Had to slow down as no padding means very careful foot placement! I did notice a slight bit of difference between what I was doing with shoes on and what I did barefoot but nothing drastic. Anyway-I’m thinking of making it a regular Sunday morning, pre-farmer’s market event. Anyone interested in doing some CrossFit Endurance running workouts on Sunday mornings around 8:30? I do reserve the right to selectively sleep in, but I know you all can run without me…And if Nikki keeps joining us we’ll have plenty of motivation to hustle a little faster as she doesn’t even look out of breath after an 800m run.

I just hide my out of breathness well. I am so psyched to report that my 800 time got me to the first benchmark on the crossfit chart. This totally surpised me because I think I am super super slow runner. Yeah for me. Thanks Jen, I look forward to another one soon
.
Great job, Nikki!
