“This probably isn’t the best place to post this, but I PASSED MY PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST FOR THE US BORDER PATROL!”
Oh, yes. This is the best place to post this because then we get to put our 2cents in. This is Ryan’s before picture. I know lots of you already know how different he looks, but in a few weeks we’ll do a real “After” picture. Still, who cares how he looks…CrossFit is about functional fitness and real life improvement. Ryan came to us as someone about to lose his job and he really wanted to get into the US Border Patrol. He only had 2 weeks until he was supposed to take the physical fitness test and he asked if we could help. Carl and I felt a little despair because, of course we think CrossFit is miraculous, but 2 weeks is not a long time. Ryan changed his diet right away and worked hard in some workouts that were pretty strenuous. Still, he failed the first time. He was given 30 days to get in shape and retake the test…and as you can see, HE DID IT!! Good work Ryan, but we know you have some other fitness goals too and this is by no means where your fitness stalls. Don’t stop now…and I think you missed a nutrition appointment with me? We are super proud of you.

Oh, you guys! Thanks. I couldn’t have done it without all of the support. And Jen, I spaced the appointment. Sorry! It was a hectic week. I’m up for rescheduling. One thing I forgot to mention about my test is that I caught a bug the day before and I still passed. I’m still trying to get over it before I come back.
Ryan, I knew you could do it! Even though I only worked with you in only one class I knew you had it in ya! Look forward to more workouts together!

When are you going to be better? We miss you so much and I, personally feel that you are so healthy that if you get sick then the rest of us are surely going down.
I finally got my mom to come in. She liked it. She’d been showing mine and Pancho’s pictures to her coworkers so now whe can brag for herself.
