A New Twist on Jump Roping

YouTube Preview Image

These young people are coming to teach you.  It is summer and summer should be fun.  Like kids have fun.  With jump ropes.  What’s that you say?  You’re still doing tuck jumps instead of double unders?  You’re still counting attempts instead of actual double unders?  Let’s see if the Tucson Twist-Its can help.  This Thursday night we will cancel the 5:30 class.  Come either at 5:00pm or 6pm.  We will have a partial regular workout and then I’m handing you over to the Jump ropers.  The team is raising money to go to Texas for the National Jump Rope championships.  If you think they are pretty cool and you learn something be willing to give them a little donation on Thursday for their trip and in gratitude for providing you with some jump rope inspiration.  THURSDAY NIGHT 5:30pm cancelled.  COME EITHER AT 5:00pm or 6:OOpm.

  • Those kids are awesome!! I’m excited for this, but does that mean “double dutch burpees” will now be in your programming, Jen? Oh, and is this open for everyone (non-members)?

  • Jen

Yes, non-members can come if they bring a donation for the Twist-Its. We will have a short piece of a regular CrossFit workout for the 5:00 and the 6:00, but folks who just come for the Twist-Its can sit that part out.

  • Oh this is so cool — just this weekend I was feeling (my calves were especially after Friday’s workout) nostalgic for the kid days when I could jump rope for hours with friends. And I really want to learn double dutch…so I am really excited by this! Thanks Jen!
