The Rope Climb!

Rope climbs are one of those things where you want to work smarter not harder.  The 2010 CrossFit Games saw top ranked competitor Rich Froening lose the Games at the very last minute because he didn’t know how to use his feet in the rope climb.  If you are good with technique you can climb the ropes even if you aren’t super strong.  Use these rope climb skill workouts to figure out the technique and don’t hesitate to ask for a million demonstrations!  There are different techniques and you will eventually find one that works for you.  Check out the magnificent Carl Paoli and his many-part rope climb progressions right here:
