It is time. Are you interested in preparing to participate in the 2010 CrossFit Games? Qualifying for the Individual Games competition is serious business. In 2009 there were Regional Qualifying Competitions from which the top finishers went on to the CF Games. This year there will be Sectionals prior to the Regional Qualifiers and only 100 athletes will compete in the Games. There is also an Affiliate Cup competition. Each CF Affiliate can put together a mixed gender team to compete. We want to compete this year!! Do you have a secret (or not so secret) wish to prepare for competing in the Sectionals or on a CrossFit Works Affiliate team?
If you do please send me an email to jen@crossfitworks.com. Dave and I will be talking with each of you that expresses interest to make sure it is a reasonable committment and goal. Once our group is put together you will be trained as a group on a regular basis, primarily to identify weaknesses and improve them. You will also receive additional assignments for skill work or variations for our regular programming. In addition, you will be expected to perform each workout in this Affiliate in accordance with CF Games standards. Please RSVP to me ASAP, OK?

I haven’t had a chance to welcome the on-rampers yet, so…welcome! Chances are unless you are around the gym in the evenings later in the week you haven’t seen me. I’m the guy trying to keep the 6pm advanced class from kicking the heavy bag and attempting to hang upside down by their toes when they’re supposed to be hang snatching…
Kinda sad that Dave is younger than all of us in his advanced class, yet he has to watch over us like a bunch of rambunctious kids.
Oh, and anyone interested in a Crossfit Endurance WO on Sunday? I’m thinking of doing the workout on the main CE site from Thursday:
1 minute on, 20 seconds off for 18 rounds (60:20×18)
50 Burpees after the final 1 min Interval.
Maintain fastest pace possible per 1 min interval.
Don’t know when or where yet. Depends on how late I stay out on Saturday!
