Just wondering. I didn't see the mobility class on the schedule. Does that still happen on Wednesday's at 6?

Nope, you don't have to sign up for that class and it isn't considered one of your classes. It is just an extra one for fun.

Do we need to "sign up" for the Saturday Crossfit class?
did not see it listed on the Schedule? and also,
is this considered and extra class.. or one of your(2 or 3)classes
per week?
Thanks.

Thanks Jen!!

It is really interesting what effects artificial sweeteners seem to have on eating behavior, e.g. make you hungrier, less satisfied, etc. When you eat sugar, your body is like "Oh wow that is so sweet and awesome give me more!" and when you eat fake sugar, your body is like "Oh wow that is so sweet and awesome. Hang on... wtf?! I can't do anything with this! Give me something useful!"

Along some similar lines, yesterday I read a NYTimes Magazine article about reasons why it is hard to keep weight off once you've lost it. Having been overweight seems to have long-lasting effects on your behavior, pleasure/reward system, and even on your metabolism. Apparently if you were once 240lbs and now you're 195, you burn fewer calories while exercising than somebody else who is 195 and never was overweight. Folks who have managed to keep weight off generally eat fewer calories and exercise more than healthy people of similar weight who were never overweight.

if any of you know my ma then you know that she's said 'be careful', or some variation of that, countless times.. but she (and my pops) have always encouraged me to try new things and do what made me happy. sure, they didn't like it when i came home bruised and bloody from soccer, softball, kickboxing, mountain biking, etc.. since no parent likes to see their children get hurt. but i am so thankful that that my parents allowed me to fail, fall, get lost and have my own adventures :)
