Speaking of muscle recovery gadgets and gear: What are your thoughts on Kinesio tape?Over the last few years I've had many physical therapists make me look like a 2nd grade art project with the black tape and swear by the stuff, but I'm a skeptic. Magical olympian repair product or marketing hype? Have any Crossfitters had success with Kinesio?
PS Jen, Don't throw away my log book this time, I'll be back when I'm allowed back on my feet in April!

Jen, will you be scheduling another rowing lesson with Jerry soon? I had hoped to be there but an old friend visiting from out of town with an invite to hike in the Tucson Mtns was too hard to pass up....

Well, Ellie. I like to think I have plentiful supplies of both, but then again my parents raised me to have an overabundance of self esteem. As in "Just because those girls in your class are models in a catalogue doesn't mean they are more attractive than you are for God's sake. They aren't nearly as beautiful as you are. And they can't even contemplate honors calculus. When you can do trig why would you want to wear a bikini?" I have thought that perhaps they lacked a certain hold on reality, especially from the perspective of a teenage girl, but I'm gonna follow in their footsteps. Ability is better than looks, but of course you can have both. You do have both.

I am so glad for this post. I am getting tired of hearing my friends, who I think are pretty smart, value looks over ability. But seriously, can't we have both...?

Jerry, you might not know this but it is fairly well accepted that you train in a CrossFit Affiliate in which the owner who participated in your class (not naming names) is a dismal photographer. And yes, this was the best one. If you pose for me this week I will make another attempt.

Oh man...that's the best pic of me that came from this? Bummer. Nevertheless, I was glad to help and am happy to give some more pointers and ideas for drills to practice what we learned. So feel free to stop me if you see me. Perhaps we'll do it again?
